Ntombiyethu Biyase

Ntombiyethu Biyase is an anesthesiologist at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital in South Africa and a lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia at the University of the Witwatersrand. Her work is deeply grounded in scientific medicine. At the same time, she comes from a long lineage of indigenous traditional healers, carrying ancestral wisdom that has guided healing in African communities for generations. In her life and work, these two worlds meet — modern medical science and ancient spiritual knowledge. She approaches healing not only through the body, but also through the energetic, relational, and ancestral dimensions that shape human wellbeing. Ntombiyethu has also participated in the Timeless Wisdom Training with Thomas Hübl, deepening her exploration of collective healing and spiritual practice.
