Nisreen Elsaim is a Sudanese environmentalist and "science diplomat" dedicated to the intersection of climate action, peace, and security. With a background in Physics and Renewable Energy, she bridges the gap between scientific research and international policy.
Nisreen gained global prominence as the Chair of the UN Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. As a veteran negotiator for the African Group, she has mentored thousands of young leaders through platforms like YOUNGO and the Sudan Youth Organization on Climate Change.
Her advocacy work earned her a number of honours, including the Young Activist of the Year (2023) and a Marianne Initiative laureate. She continues to dedicate her time to sustainable adaptation and youth empowerment worldwide.
