CNN Hero Ibu Robin Lim CPM was born in 1956 to a Filipino-American family. For 27 years Lim has lived in Indonesia where she is called, “Ibu (Mother) Robin”. Lim is a Certified Professional Midwife with the North American Registry of Midwives and Ikatan Bidan Indonesia. She devotes her life to Yayasan Bumi Sehat (Healthy Mother Earth Foundation), a not for profit organization with clinics in Bali, Aceh, Papua and the Philippines. Their work has supported thousands of women recovering from earthquakes, the Covid-19 pandemic, and climate change induced disasters around the world. Along with receiving babies, Ibu Robin is the author of 22 books, some translated into Bahasa Indonesia, Italian, Spanish, Russian, and Czech languages. Robin’s support and inspiration is her family, husband Wil and eight children.
